The Corvallis Gazette awarded NCRA member and captioner Elizabeth Archer a rose in its Oct. 10 Roses and Raspberries column. Archer, who is from Portland, Ore., was highlighted for her bravery during Friday night freeway traffic to ensure that people who are hard of hearing were able to understand a recent forum local political candidates participated in.
