In March, the Collaborative for Communication Access via Captioning surveyed caption users to find out what they valued about the experience of captioning. The survey garnered approximately 220 responses, and most people responded that inclusion ranked as the highest benefit of having CART or captioning of an event. In addition, users said that having CART or captioning allowed them to think and participate in the activity without straining to hear or lip-read and allowed users to enjoy the event.
The survey results are available on the CCAC site.
