The Seattle Seahawks season ticket holder Dean Olson has convinced the stadium to provide closed captioning for patrons with hearing impairments, according to a Jan. 18 article on KING5.com, the website for a TV station based in Seattle, Wash. The closed captioning runs along portions of the electronic ticker.
Olsen is now talking to the Mariners. The team plans to have the same closed captioning at the start of next season.
Olson is also working to get other NFL teams and area movie theaters and playhouses to provide similar access for people with hearing impairments.
