NCRA members Patric R. Martin and Marita Yslas, RPR, senior verbatim reporting officers for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), were recently honored for their delivery of consistently high-quality transcripts of meetings during the more than two decades they have served the Fund. The two were recognized in a ceremony in March hosted by Christine Lagarde, managing director of the IMF.
Lagarde noted that Martin’s and Yslas’ work has been recognized on many occasions, including their work reporting on meetings in Paris, France, last year. The court reporters’ awards also note that verbatim transcripts are essential to the Fund’s institutional memory and crucial to supporting its work.
