The Brownsville Herald posted a story on Oct. 13 about the Veterans History Project Day held in Hidalgo County, Texas. According to the paper, five veterans shared their stories, which will be sent to the Library of Congress as part of the Veterans History Project. The Library of Congress was tasked with collecting and preserving veterans’ firsthand stories about the war efforts.
