NCRA member Patric Martin was recently recognized for his 25 years of dedicated service to the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C. Formerly of Miami, Fla., where he started his court reporting career, Martin reports the IMF’s Executive Board and its committees. In addition, he reports press conferences and high-level meetings for the Fund, all with realtime capability.
The award was presented by Christine Lagarde, the managing director of the IMF, as a certificate and included a monetary element. A reception was given at the IMF, where it was noted that Martin has reported more than 3,500 meetings of the IMF Executive Board, and in his career, his duties have taken him on more than 15 international missions.
“Working here is rewarding and interesting, interacting with some of the most impressive people you can imagine,” Martin said.
