Since its launch during National Heart Month in February, I Hate Piñatas, the debut book written by NCRA member Heather Maloy, has earned positive reviews. The book chronicles the challenges of motherhood and the pressures of caring for a sick child with a congenital heart defect. Maloy, an official court reporter from San Antonio, Texas, has donated many of the book’s proceeds to various children’s heart charities including HeartGift San Antonio.
