The Clinton Herald posted an article on Aug. 1 that focused on the shortage of court reporters affecting the courts across Illinois. According to the article, 42 court reporter vacancies exist throughout the state with an immediate need to fill 20 of those positions. The remaining vacancies won’t be filled until a state budget is passed, according to the article.
