Clarence J. Getty, uncle and mentor of federal official court reporter Krista Flynn Burgeson, passed away September 20, 2015. Getty was a freelance court reporter and later an agency owner for many decades in downtown Chicago. He was also a teacher at the Chicago College of Commerce for many years and treasured the relationships he made with his students. Getty loved the court reporting profession and passed that passion along to his niece, Krista.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Patricia.
