Grow your skill set. Grow your network. Grow your business
The three are interconnected for firm owners, managers, and also anyone who wants to build their business better in 2022 — and you can find all three at the 2021 NCRA Business Summit being held Nov. 19-21 in Savannah, Ga. This must-attend event is dedicated to business owners and managers of the captioning, court reporting, and legal videography professions, no matter the size.
“The NCRA Business Summit, formerly the Firm Owners Conference, has made all the difference in the growth and development of my reporting business. When I attended my first Firm Owners 15 years ago, I had seven reporters (including myself) and one staff person. Today we are six times larger than that and now with 12 staff members,” says firm owner and reporter Max Curry, RPR, CRI, a past NCRA President. “I truly attribute this growth to the knowledge, support, and skills I have gained through my interaction and attendance at Firm Owners. It’s the number one thing that has helped me develop the tools I needed to truly find success in business. I never miss it, and I highly recommend attendance!”
Melanie S. Griffin, Esq., the keynote speaker for the Business Summit, will kick off the event with a two-part session: First up is Maximizing Your Personal & Professional Life: The Art of Focusing, Prioritizing, and Goal Crushing, followed by a second segment titled Rebrand 2021: Personal Branding & Networking Strategies to Shine Beyond Your Competition. Griffin brings an entrepreneurial spirit and background as a law clerk, attorney, and managing partner to share her best tips for growing your business.
New additions to the schedule include Audra Fournier, founder of Partners for a Solution, who will present Designing and Managing Your Customers’ Journey, in which she will share the six key points of designing the customer journey to help you cultivate happy and loyal customers; and Stephanie Canfield, founder and CEO of Ignite Digital Marketing Solutions, who will explain the standard social media channels, offer tips on how to create content, and share what to do to maximize your social media presence when she leads the session Maximizing Social Media.
Don’t miss out on the new and innovative “Hot Seat” Peer-to-Peer Solution Storming also being offered at the Business Summit. How does the session work? Participants will be broken into groups, and each person in each group will have the chance to be in the “hot seat” and benefit from the sage advice of their peers during this interactive session. Participants will share their own experiences, what-ifs, and those twisty turns that keep them up at night, and go home with solutions they can put into effect in their business. As a bonus to all participants, one person from each group will be chosen to share what was learned with the entire group.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about navigating government resources and bidding for lucrative government projects; protecting their retirement investment; and what can make or break your business in the eyes of lawyers and legal support staff. In addition, be prepared for ample time to network with peers and colleagues — one of the most important parts of the event!
