There are just over two weeks left to submit nominations for two of NCRA’s most prestigious awards, the CASE Award of Excellence and the Fellows of the Academy of Professional Reporters. These awards recognize NCRA members who have contributed to the profession in a significant way.
CASE Award of Excellence: The Council on Approved Student Education (CASE) is conferred upon an outstanding educator. Those who have received the CASE Award of Excellence have exemplified dedication to students and extraordinary contributions to reporter education. Nominees must be an NCRA member; must be on the faculty of an NCRA-approved court reporter program; must have at least five years of experience; and cannot be a past award recipient. Fellow of the Academy of Professional Reporters (FAPR): Fellow of the Academy of Professional Reporters is a professional distinction conferred upon NCRA members of outstanding and extraordinary qualifications and experience in the field of shorthand reporting and/or captioning. Candidates must be active practitioners in the field and have at least 15 years of experience. Criteria for nomination include the publication of important papers, legislative or creative contributions to the field, and service on committees or boards.
