Now is the time to make your plans to attend the 2022 NCRA Conference & Expo in Orlando, Fla., July 21-24. Join your colleagues this summer to enjoy an inspiring keynote speaker, dozens of sessions on the profession by leaders in the field, sneak peeks of new products and services in the Expo Hall, and the opportunity to connect with old friends and new.
Early registration closes May 15, and you can save even more by booking your room at the Hyatt Regency Orlando using the NCRA discounted group rate through June 27 or whenever the block is filled, whichever comes first.
The early access rate for full registration is $650 for NCRA members and $950 for nonmembers, which is a savings of $25. This package includes access to all concurrent sessions, Teachers’ Workshop, a three-day Expo Hall pass, Opening Reception, Premier Session with Keynote, Awards Luncheon, and Member Recognition Gala. Registration packages also include free breakfast on Friday and Saturday for attendees who have booked rooms in the NCRA block. Attendees can earn up to 1.275 CEUs.
The NCRA Conference & Expo offers the chance for attendees to get together with professionals from across the country. Rose-Marie Robinson, RPR, a freelance reporter from Salt Lake City, Utah, attended her first NCRA Conference last year in Las Vegas, Nev. “I would absolutely come back next year,” Robinson said. “The different sessions are so informative, and you learn so much. They are interactive, and you meet so many wonderful people here who are in the same profession. We are a lonely profession when we are in depositions or in the courtroom when we are by ourselves doing what we do, so it’s a wonderful source of networking, support, and learning.”
Emily Gibbs, RPR, also a freelance reporter in Utah (Lehi), enjoys coming to NCRA Conferences for both the people and the education. “Conferences are so amazing,” says Gibbs. “You learn so much every time you come, and it’s always different. The thing I love most is the camaraderie. Everybody is trying to help everybody be better in this career. You sit through these seminars, and they are teaching you how to practice and how to take the speed tests.”
There’s also plenty of time for networking at the breakfasts and coffee breaks; lunch on your own; walking around the Expo Hall; and, of course, at the Saturday night Rock the World Member Recognition Gala.
Also on the schedule are the popular Captioning Boot Camp Workshop and several Vendor Training Workshops (separate registration is required), as well as learning zones with sessions that include — Inclusive Language; Behind the Scenes with Judge Judy; TECH Talk; Dispelling the Illusion of New Technology; Brief Bingo; Realtime: What’s Holding You Back? — and much more. See the full schedule of sessions here.
