Congratulations to Anna Mar-Lazo, a newly certified freelance reporter from San Antonio, Texas, for being selected to take over NCRA’s social media during the 2022 NCRA Conference & Expo, happening July 21-24 in Orlando, Fla.!
“With the #NCRA22 social media takeover, I want to accomplish one thing and that’s to give the NCRA members who are not in attendance a front-row seat to everything happening at this year’s Conference in Orlando,” Said Mar-Lazo. “I want to share as much as possible so that no member feels left out. I hope to engage our social media followers as much as possible, as well as bring them fun, entertainment, and laughter!” she added.
When asked how social media has helped her professionally, Mar-Lazo said it was how she shared her court reporting journey and even networked through the COVID-19 pandemic. “As a new reporter, social media has helped me connect with other new reporters as well as more seasoned reporters as I make my way through the crucial first years of this amazing career,” she said.
“I am most looking forward to seeing all my court reporting friends and colleagues in person,” Mar-Lazo added. “Yes, we ‘see’ them and keep up with them on social media and that’s great. There’s just something about being able to interact with them, hug them, and laugh with them in person that just makes things that much more amazing. I can’t wait!”
