Nominations are still being accepted for The Jim Bouley Family Lifetime Award for Altruism. The award is given to a court reporter or captioner with more than 25 years of experience who has given back to the profession and the community with no expectation of reward. The deadline for nominations is May 1.
The Jim Bouley Award, previously called the Santo J. Aurelio Award for Altruism, was renamed in 2021 when the eight Bouley family children chose to donate to NCRF in recognition of their father, who was an exemplary role model as a court reporter, instructor, and philanthropist.
Last year the award was presented to Sue Terry, FAPR, RPR, CRR, CRC, a freelance court reporter and captioner from Springfield, Ohio. The Jim Bouley Award, which will be presented annually at the NCRA Conference & Expo, will be announced this year at the Awards Luncheon in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, July 29.
