Cynthia R. Bruce, Senior Director of Education and Certification for NCRA, and Jill Parker Landsman, NCRF Manager, have announced the latest recipients of the Career Launcher Student Grants. Winners were selected in a random drawing at the NCRA headquarters in Reston, Va. Interested students can apply for the next drawing before the deadline of June 14.
To date, more than 25 Career Launcher Student Grants have been awarded. Six names were pulled this quarter to award students, thanks to the generous support of NCRF donors. Recipients for this quarter’s grants are:
- Madeline Dub of South San Francisco, Calif. – College of Marin, Kentfield, Calif.
- Alexa Gieco of Newburgh, N.Y. – Long Island Business Institute, Commack, N.Y.
- Alexandra Owens of San Angelo, Texas – Arlington Career Institute, Grand Prairie, Texas

Winners received an email with a redeemable certificate to take the Career Launcher program at any time. Grant applicants who were not selected will remain eligible to win in future drawings, and Career Launcher Grants continue to be available.
Career Launcher is designed to serve as a bridge or to provide tips of the trade for students and new professionals between graduation and their first job, exposing them to myriad real-life situations. The program is offered through the NCRA Learning Center. The cost for the student program is currently $100 for members and $175 for nonmembers.
