Honor someone special: Nominations still open for The Jim Bouley Family Lifetime Award for Altruism

Do you know a dedicated captioner or court reporter who gives tirelessly to the profession and community? Here’s your opportunity to nominate that captioner or reporter. The Jim Bouley Family Lifetime Award for Altruism honors a member who has demonstrated sacrifice and altruism in service to others. Nominate a colleague by May 1.

The award is named in honor of Jim Bouley, whose eight children chose to donate to NCRF in recognition of their father, who was an exemplary role model as a court reporter, instructor, and philanthropist.

Last year the award was presented to Sue Terry, FAPR, RPR, CRR, CRC, a freelance court reporter and captioner from Springfield, Ohio. The Jim Bouley Award, which will be presented annually at the NCRA Conference & Expo, will be announced this year at the Awards Luncheon in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, July 29.

Full award requirements and a nomination form can be found here. For information about The Jim Bouley Family Lifetime Award for Altruism, contact NCRF Manager Jill Parker Landsman at jlandsman@ncra.org.
