Voting on candidates for the NCRA Board of Directors will take place starting on June 19, 9 a.m. Eastern, through June 20, 9 a.m. Eastern. Voting Members will vote on the Board members at least 30 days before the Conference in accordance with changes the Voting Members made to the Bylaws in 2018.
Town Halls
You can learn more about the candidates for office by reviewing their biographies online and by attending Town Halls to meet the candidates where positions have more than one candidate:
- On June 13, you can hear from the candidates for the position of Vice President. (Register here.)
- On June 14, you can hear from the candidates for the position of Director. (Register here.)
Both Town Halls begin at 8 p.m. Eastern.
Members may submit questions by June 5 that the Elections Committee may ask the candidates. When you send in a question for the Town Halls, use the following in the subject line: Questions for [POSITION] Candidate Town Hall. Email questions to elections@ncra.org.
Verify your email
Per NCRA’s Constitution & Bylaws, Voting Members will cast their votes via secure, online means. NCRA Voting members are Participating Members who are verbatim stenographic reporters and/or stenographic captioners and Registered Members who are verbatim stenographic reporters and/or stenographic captioners, as well as Retired Members, and Retired Lifetime Members and Honorary Members who have been verbatim stenographic reporters and/or stenographic captioners.
To exercise the right, members must have a current email address on file in NCRA’s membership database and be opted in to receive emails from NCRA. To verify your email address, visit the member portal at NCRA.org. Click on “Login” at the very top of the website, log in with your NCRA ID and password, then once you see a “Welcome” message, click on “My Profile.” To change your email address, click on “Update My Profile.” If you make changes, please be sure to click “Save Profile Information” near the bottom of the profile page.
The deadline to verify or update your email address to participate in voting on the Board of Directors is June 15.
