This past year (2022-23) NCRA established a Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) Task Force to help with the Association’s DE&I initiative. The Task Force was charged with identifying one or more experts in the field of DE&I. In addition to the charge, the Task Force also identified areas of opportunity that they would like to see the organization address as it pertains to DE&I. The DEI Task Force is now a Committee and Chair Dr. Geanell Adams, RMR, CRR, CRC, CRI, met with the NCRA Board of Directors in Houston, Texas, during the 2023 NCRA’s Conference & Expo, and the Board authorized the Executive Director to engage a consultant to perform the assessment phase of the DE&I project. Since then, the Executive Director and Chair have narrowed down the field of consultants and are seeking an initial scope of work for the project.
