The NCRA Annual Business Meeting was held on Aug. 1 during the 2024 NCRA Conference & Expo at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Ky.
During the meeting:
The new slate of officers was elected. The 2024-2025 slate of officers includes:
- President-Elect Cindy Isaacsen, RPR, an official court reporter from Shawnee, Kan.;
- Vice President Cathy Penniston, RPR, CRI, a court reporting instructor and broadcast captioner from Waukee, Iowa; and
- Secretary-Treasurer Stacey Potenza, CRC, a broadcast and CART captioner and agency owner from McKinny, Texas.
- Keith R. Lemons, FAPR, RPR, CRR (Ret.), from Spring Hill, Tenn., 2023-2024 President-Elect, automatically ascends to the role of NCRA 2024-2025 President.
In addition, two new members of NCRA’s Board of Directors were installed at the Conference & Expo to serve three-year terms. They are RandiAnn Harvey, RDR, CRR, CRC, an official court reporter from Mora, Minn., and Lynette Mueller, FAPR, RDR, CRR, a freelance court reporter from Memphis, Tenn. Also installed to serve a one-year term was Patricia White, RDR, CRR, CRC, a broadcast and CART captioner from St. Louis, Mo.
Returning Directors include:
- Kelly Linkowski, RPR, CRR, CRC, CPE, a broadcast captioner from Rittman, Ohio;
- Margary Rogers, RPR, CRI, an official court reporter from Washington, D.C.; and
- Carol Naughton, RDR, an official court reporter from Virginia Beach, Va.
NCRA Executive Director Dave Wenhold, CAE, PLC, presented a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol Building by Senator John Cornyn from Texas to Immediate Past President Kristin M. Anderson, M.A., RPR, CRI, FCRR, an official court reporter from Denton, Texas.
- At the meeting, members discussed the proposed Bylaws Amendment and a proposed change in dues. Voting was opened after the meeting and will be open for 24 hours. Members received an email with instructions on how to vote.
- At the end of the meeting, NCRA Immediate Past President Kristin M. Anderson, M.A., RPR, CRI, FCRR, handed the gavel to new President Keith R. Lemons, FAPR, RPR, CRR (Ret.), from Spring Hill, Tenn.
