Fall into court reporting & captioning with NCRA A to Z

NCRA’s Education Department hosted its fourth Virtual Open House on Thursday, October 10 to highlight career training options for prospective court reporting and captioning students. The event garnered more than 60 attendees, many of whom were past or current NCRA A to Z® Intro to Steno Machine Shorthand program participants.

Incorporating mini breakout room sessions allowed for a personalized feel to the large event. Attendees rotated between rooms to learn about individual programs and offerings in four 15-minute mini sessions. This provided a space to ask questions in a quest to discover their right fit. It was well received by attendees, with attendee Kimberly Brazell noting, “I enjoyed the structure of the meeting and had plenty of time to ask questions and review my options.”

For those attendees who had not yet taken the NCRA A to Z program, information was provided about the program and the steps to enroll. The program has experienced continued success this year. To date more than 400 completion certificates have been awarded.
