Stenograph offers student scholarship worth $5,000+ in tuition, student writer, and software

The National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) is pleased to announce the upcoming Stenograph Milton H. Wright Memorial Scholarship, honoring the memory of Stenograph’s founder. Court reporting students in formal court reporting programs are encouraged to apply for the merit-based award, which is worth more than $5,000 in tuition and includes the use of a student writer and software.

“Stenograph is thrilled to announce its 2025 Milton H. Wright Memorial Scholarship this January,” said Mark Kuczora, Stenograph Vice President of Marketing. “This exciting opportunity is designed to support the growth of the court reporting industry and assist students on their path to joining the profession. We can’t wait to begin the selection process and help talented students in our community achieve their dreams.”

“We at the Foundation are proud to partner with Stenograph and offer this generous student scholarship,” said NCRF Chair Doug Friend, FAPR, RDR, CRR (Ret.). “We are hoping for a slew of student applications for this tuition, machine, and software scholarship package.”

This scholarship is offered through the National Court Reporters Foundation. Students must meet the eligibility requirements and submit the completed documentation to qualify for the scholarship. Notification of the Stenograph MHW Memorial Scholarship will be sent to all court reporting schools registered with NCRA. Stenograph will also market this scholarship through its network.

To be eligible to apply, students must have an exemplary academic record, have passed at least one skills test writing 90-130 wpm, and write an essay. Full details and an application can be found on the scholarship web page. Applications open on Jan. 8 and accepted through March 19, 2025.

Stenograph has worked closely with the Foundation for many years, including sponsoring the NCRF writer raffle each year, which serves as a great resource that allows the Foundation to deliver its awards and outreach program.
