A record-breaking year for A to Z

We are set to close 2024 with a record year of success for our NCRA A to Z® Intro to Steno Machine Shorthand program. Feedback from participants continues to be overwhelmingly positive. “I thoroughly enjoyed this program,” said Tabitha Graham of Lola, Kan. “I am so excited to continue this journey, and this has equipped me with the foundation that I needed to truly decide to pursue this as a career.”

This year 885 participants like Tabitha earned their program completion certificate, up from 670 in 2023 and 258 in 2022. The program hosted by NCRA headquarters awarded 622 of these certificates, and we look forward to continued success with our 2025 programs. We will be making exciting changes to our asynchronous model with more information coming in early 2025. As always we are grateful for the local program leaders who host NCRA A to Z sessions in their communities. It was through these local efforts that the remaining 263 certificates were earned.

Industry leaders Stenograph and ProCAT continue to assist participants by providing a modern steno machine for an affordable rental rate. We are also thankful for the discounts both ProCAT and Advantage Software offer our certificate holders to assist them in continuing their education after completion of the NCRA A to Z program.

The continued success of the NCRA A to Z program would not be possible without volunteers who graciously gave their time. NCRA would like to thank the following individuals:
