The National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) invites passionate professionals to join its 2025-2026 Board of Trustees. Are you a natural leader, forward-thinker, and dedicated advocate for philanthropy? This is your chance to make a difference. Applications open Feb. 1.

“The future is bright for your National Court Reporters Foundation!” says NCRF Chair Doug Friend, FAPR, RDR, CRR (Ret.). “By joining the NCRF Board of Trustees, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping innovative opportunities to support our members and advance the profession.”

At NCRF, we pride ourselves on giving back to the court reporting and captioning communities and beyond. The Board of Trustees is instrumental in overseeing the Foundation’s programs, initiatives, and investments. Recent highlights include:

  • Ask Me Anything ZoomUps: A popular and informative free series for members
  • Scholarships and Grants: Supporting students and professionals
  • Oral Histories Program: Partnering with the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress plus attorney oral histories
  • The Jim Bouley Family Lifetime Award for Altruism: Honoring extraordinary contributions from members of 25 years or more
  • Mental Health Awareness Webinars: Offering crucial resources to our members
  • Natural Disaster Relief Fund: Providing aid to members in need after a natural disaster
  • Career Launcher: Boosting careers with scholarships and tools in the online learning modules
  • Student Conference Registration Drawings: Opening doors for the next generation

Exciting new initiatives are also in the works, ensuring NCRF remains a cornerstone of support and innovation within the profession.
