Twenty-one Certified Legal Video Specialist candidates spent the weekend at the headquarters building of the National Court Reporters Association in Vienna, Va., Dec. 14-15 to attempt the CLVS Production Exam, one of the three required steps in their program to become certified. The production test is administered three to four times a year: spring and fall tests in conjunction with all legal video seminars and events, at NCRA Headquarters in December, and at a regional location in June based on demand. During this test, candidates run the show at a staged deposition and are graded on their ability to follow video deposition guidelines and produce a usable, high-quality video of the deposition.
