Going live: 2021 NCRA Conference & Expo registration opens

Registration opens Thursday, April 15, for NCRA’s first live and in-person national event in more than a year, the 2021 Conference & Expo taking place July 29-Aug. 1 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. Register now to take advantage of early access full registration fees, and save money. Book your room by July 2 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and save even more.

This year’s event is packed with informative and engaging sessions, networking opportunities, and special keynote speaker Debbi Fields, founder of the Mrs. Fields cookie brand. She will share how she launched one of the nation’s most well-known companies as a housewife with a passion for cookies from her kitchen to the world stage.

Hear how this American entrepreneur built her business based on quality, and she will explain that implementing her personal philosophy “good enough never is” will lay a solid foundation upon which to build a lasting legacy in the court reporting and captioning industry.

This year’s venue also serves as the backdrop for a new Guinness Challenge where contestants will compete for speed and accuracy writing content delivered at a variety of fast reads. The record of 360 words per minute at a 97.23 percent accuracy rate is currently held by NCRA member Mark T. Kislingbury, FAPR, RDR, CRR, from Houston, Texas, who set it at the 2004 NCRA Convention & Expo. The last Guinness Challenge was held at NCRA’s 2013 Convention & Expo. For more information to sign up, send an email to pr@ncra.org.

And, of course, there will be National Speed and Realtime Contests held where dozens of the fastest in the profession will compete for bragging rights. Attendees interested in competing for the national contests can register for each contest when they register for the conference.

Visit the NCRA 2021 Conference & Expo webpage for more information about registration, the venue, session highlights, and more. You can also learn more about the hotel’s Health and Safety Protocols here.

As always, NCRA places the safety and health of its guests, presenters, and staff as its top priority and remains committed to its 2021 Conference & Expo.
