Although Hurricane Ida has passed, the damage it left behind throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and several other states remains. The devastation and cleanup will undoubtedly take weeks if not months to contend with. The National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) has launched the Reporters Relief Fund through its MobileCause app to help raise monies to assist NCRA members who have been impacted by this most recent natural disaster.
To donate to this important cause and help our fellow NCRA members, text the keyword reliefhelp to 41444. All donations are tax deductible and will be distributed to state associations to assist members based on need.
As an additional effort to help ensure that member services are not interrupted during this difficult time, NCRA will offer flexible financing for dues and extensions on CEU requirements needed by those immediately affected by Ida.
In the coming weeks, NCRA staff will also begin following up on members in areas affected by the storm to offer additional support and resources. Members needing assistance can also reach out directly to NCRA by emailing membership@ncra.org or calling 800-272-6272.
NCRA and NCRF, especially during times like these, are not just your professional Association and Foundation, but your family. Family takes care of family.
