NCRA’s Constitution & Bylaws permit members to cast their votes via secure, online means. But to exercise the right, members must have a current email address on file in NCRA’s membership database. This enables NCRA to keep you informed of any amendments coming up for a vote and to provide you with information on how to register and cast your vote online. Members who are eligible to vote will be able to sign on to the secure website and then vote through a private, secure link during the 24-hour voting period.
VOTING ON POSSIBLE TWO-PARTY DIRECTOR AND OFFICER SEATS
At this time, no additional nominations for the Board of Directors have been received. The deadline for additional nominations is May 15. If additional nominations are received, information on how and when to vote will be provided. Voting will occur at least 30 days before the Annual Business meeting, which is scheduled for Thursday, July 21, 2022, in Orlando, Fla. The date to update your email to participate in this vote is June 20.
VOTING ON POSSIBLE BYLAWS AMENDMENTS
If there are any NCRA Constitution & Bylaws amendments put forward, they will be noticed in a future JCR Weekly issue and voted on following any discussion at the Annual Business Meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 21, 2022. Voting on Bylaws amendments opens within two hours of the close of the Annual Business Meeting and ends after 24 hours. The date to update your email to participate in any votes on Bylaws is July 8.
HOW TO CHECK OR UPDATE YOUR EMAIL
Please make sure NCRA has a current email address in the database. To verify your email address, visit NCRA.org and click on “Login” in the upper righthand corner, log in with your NCRA ID number and password, then once you see a “Welcome” message, click on “My Profile.” To change your email address, click on “Update My Profile.” If you make changes, please be sure to click “Save” at the bottom of the profile page. If you are unable to make your changes, contact the NCRA Member Services and Information Center at 800-272-6272.
WHO CAN VOTE
Only Participating Members who are verbatim stenographic reporters and/or stenographic captioners and Registered Members who are verbatim stenographic reporters and/or stenographic captioners, as well as Retired Members, Retired Lifetime Members and Honorary Members who have been verbatim stenographic reporters and/or stenographic captioners, shall be eligible to vote. Members may cast their votes via their phones, tablets, or computers.
