NCRA is pleased to announce the 2022 NCRA A to Z® Scholarship winners. The scholarship program awards a $750 scholarship to up to 15 students annually. Qualified applicants must have completed the NCRA A to Z® Intro to Steno Machine Shorthand program as well as passed a Skills Test writing between 60 and 100 wpm, among other eligibility requirements.
The NCRA A to Z Scholarship program was expanded this year from awarding 10 scholarships at $500 each to awarding 14 scholarships at $750 each. The increased number of awards was the result a unanimous decision by the NCRF Board of Trustees and a generous increase in donations. The 2022 recipients of $750 each are:
- Jemima Almanrode, from Fort Collins, Colo., a student at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio
- Vennecia Lopez, from Yuma, Ariz., a student at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio
- Brooke Adams, from Altoona, Iowa, a student at Des Moines Area Community College in Des Moines, Iowa
- Rachel Leon, from Mission Hills, Calif., a student at the Downey Adult School in Downey, Calif.
- Jessi Norris, from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, a student at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Alberta, Canada
- Jordan Fair, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, a student at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Alberta, Canada
- Lucy Wilde, from Welling, Alberta, Canada, a student at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Alberta, Canada
- Alexa Duran, from Forest Hills, N.Y., a student at Plaza College in Queens, N.Y.
