A May 6 article in the Press-Enterprise featured the handy quilt work of a local court reporter that depicts the folksy stories long-time Riverside (Calif.) Superior Court Judge Albert Wojcik came to be known for. Wojcik often used the stories to illustrate principles of law in a way that would engage potential jurors.
Court reporter Amanda Fagan told the paper that she has recorded those jury selection stories easily 200 times during her 12 years working with the judge. With Wojcik’s official retirement date coming up in July, Fagan presented him with a gift that captures his personality.
