NCRA members impacted by recent extreme weather events or catastrophic disasters throughout the United States are reminded that financial aid is available through the NCRF Natural Disaster Relief Fund. Members experiencing hardship from an official natural disaster may apply for NCRF relief using the application found here.
A major natural disaster is defined by the U.S. Department of the Interior as “any hurricane, tornado, storm, flood, high water, tidal wave, earthquake, volcanic eruption, landslide, snowstorm, fire, explosion, or other catastrophes, in any part of the United States which, in the determination of a federal agency head, causes damage of sufficient severity and magnitude such that an emergency action is necessary to the preservation of human life or property.”
The NCRF Disaster Fund was established in 2021 by 62 members donating seed money. Since then, additional donors have enabled the fund to increase.
To donate to the NCRF Natural Disaster Relief Fund, text the keyword ReliefHelp to 41444 or use this NCRF campaign link. Donations raised through the NCRF Natural Disaster Relief Fund exclusively help provide hardship relief to NCRA members in need who have been affected by natural disasters. This will likely be in the form of financial assistance, depending on each applicant’s immediate needs. Donations made to this fund are a tax write-off.
