Licensed in both California and Texas, Holmgren has been practicing law in Texas for more than two decades. He is also licensed as a patent attorney by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Holmgren, who is married to NCRA member JoAnn Holmgren, a freelance court reporter and agency owner from Mesquite, Texas, and a member of the NCRA STRONG Committee, underscored in his address the crucial importance of court reporters as guardians of the legal record. He also discussed the changing landscape of court reporting as a result of new technology.
