Nearly 50 vendors will be on site at NCRA’s 2014 Convention & Expo, July 31 – Aug. 3 in San Francisco at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square, to showcase the latest in new products and services specifically for the court reporting profession. Vendors will be offering products ranging from software to equipment to support services and more.
Visitors to the Advantage Software booth, for example, will be among the first to see how Collaborative Editing allows scopists and proofreaders to simultaneously edit transcripts being written in realtime, said Greg Seely, the company’s president.
“Everyone can see what the others are doing, and everyone has access to streaming audio. The editing changes are instantly refreshed on all computers and allow users to provide flawless realtime and virtually instant final copy,” Seely said.
Advantage Software will also be showcasing its Passport Touch on the Expo floor, as well as demonstrating Bridge Mobile, which has an open architecture that allows reporters to access all of the software’s powerful features locally and in the cloud, he noted.
“We want visitors to experience for themselves why reporters are falling in love with the Passport Touch and learn how a powerful new feature saves so many keystrokes, there’s time for a sip of coffee between questions. Users can even attach a Windows tablet and easily edit transcripts with the StenoMagic keys,” Seely said.
Expo attendees in the market for new equipment will have the opportunity to learn more about the options FirstLease offers, according to Donald Wampler, vice president of sales.
“FirstLease makes acquiring stenography equipment easy and affordable. We offer financing terms from 12 to 60 months on most equipment that will be exhibited at the show. Approvals are done on site and decisions will be made instantly so that customers can take advantage of many of the exhibitors’ show deals,” Wampler said.
An array of services will also be highlighted, including those offered by Courtroom Connect and the Remote Counsel Network, a valued and preferred vendor that partners with court reporting firms around the world.
“Courtroom Connect and the Remote Counsel Network value the opportunity to meet and interact with people from every part of the court reporting industry,” said Randy W. Reas, director of Remote Counsel Network, a service of Courtroom Connect.
“Remote Counsel provides products and services that generate revenue and value for our partners by focusing on integrating with, and augmenting, the workflow of the business of court reporting. We offer comprehensive, integrated services that build revenue and profit for our partners. Our goal is to make your jobs easier, more rewarding, and more profitable,” said Reas.
Other software to be showcased at the Expo includes the latest features created for ProCat’s Impression writer, said Cathy Logan, the company’s regional sales manager.
“We will have our new CasePad and Denoto software for litigation support available for visitors along with the many new features in our Winner Software. We look forward to seeing everyone in San Francisco,” she said.
