In a July 24 press release from StenoTech Career Institute, the NCRA-accredited private career school proclaimed court reporting “The Dream Job for Millennials.” The release pointed out court reporting as a technologically-driven career choice that is “perfect for millennials who are seeking independent lifestyles with flexible home-based work and who value job happiness over traditional corporate cultures.”
According to the press release, StenoTech boasts an average 95% job placement rate for students who complete the program. Court reporting graduates find employment in the court system as well as the freelance field, reporting statements, depositions, and conferences. Two of the newer and fast-growing employment venues for realtime reporters include captioning and Webcasting.
