Back this year! NCRA is hosting special sessions for court reporting and captioning firm owners and managers at the Firm Owners Focus on Thursday, Aug. 1 in conjunction with the NCRA Conference & Expo in Louisville, Ky. The all-day business-focused event offers an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the best practices in the market. Attendees will also get a chance to network and connect with panelists and other firm owners throughout the day.
“It’s that time of year again when we all come together at the Firm Owners Focus,” says Lori Bundy, RMR, CRR, a freelancer and agency owner from Naples, Fla., who is helping to organize this year’s event. “I am so excited to have been invited back again as the moderator of this fun-filled day of learning and networking. It is a great way to spend the day with colleagues in all aspects of the reporting industry. This year we are going to go way back to the playground of elementary school and look at generational differences, play a game, dive into cybersecurity issues, and have plenty of time to network. I hope you will join me!”
The full day of sessions includes lunch and a speed networking session so that attendees can get to know each other and swap stories of what works and what doesn’t in their own businesses and locales.
Firm Owner Focus runs from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 and attendees earn 0.45 CEUs. Sessions include:

Jessica Stollings-Holder draws on your fondest memories of elementary school via Team Chemistry, a game which empowers you to accomplish more together through fun, interactive puzzles, and activities all housed in retro Trapper Keepers. Come school yourself because adults need playtime too!

NCRA’s Firm Owner Focus wraps up with a session that brings the different facets of the court reporting and captioning professions together. Our panel of professionals host individual tables while session attendees rotate in a speed networking atmosphere. Panelists and attendees learn from each other as they share their respective expertise and experience. Come join us for a fun way to learn from each other and to end the day with some speed networking.
