NCRA is pleased to debut three new videos from members of the Association’s Membership, Marketing, and Outreach (MMO) Committee. All three videos are available on the 2025 Court Reporting & Captioning Week resource page.
Members are encouraged to share the videos with their networks, especially during the annual celebration happening February 1-8, 2025, and within other promotions of the profession to introduce the public to stenographic court reporters and captioners. This year’s theme, The Real AI: Accuracy & Integrity, drives home to the public and others in the legal industry why stenographic court reporters and captioners provide the best accuracy and integrity when capturing and producing the official record.
The videos were provided by MMO Committee Chair Chris DeGrazio, a freelance court reporter from Fort Pierce, Fla.; and Committee members Darlene Devlin, an official court reporter and CART captioner from Patchogue, N.Y.; and Thomas Herman, a CART captioner from Miami, Fla. Each video is a helpful tool NCRA members can use to promote the profession or to explain why steno is considered the gold standard for capturing the record.
2025 marks the 13th year NCRA members, court reporting students and schools, firms, and others in the legal field will work to showcase the stenographic court reporting and captioning professions and the invaluable services they provide.
As in the past, any state association that submits an official proclamation from their state government or lawmakers recognizing the week will be entered into a drawing to win a free 2025 Conference & Expo registration. Proclamations should be submitted to pr@ncra.org. The winner will be announced in the Feb. 12 issue of the JCR Weekly.
