NCRF Student Intern Scholarship winners announced

By Jill Landsman

The National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) recognizes that launching a career as a court reporter or captioner comes with significant costs. To help ease this burden, the NCRF Trustees have not only increased the number of scholarships awarded, but also doubled the amount given to each recipient. This year we are thrilled to announce four outstanding winners of the NCRF Student Intern Scholarships!

With nine highly competitive applicants, the selection process was challenging as each demonstrated the focus, determination, and discipline required to succeed in this demanding profession. Each winner will receive a $2,000 award to support their professional journey.

“It is my distinct pleasure to announce these four deserving NCRF Student Intern Scholarship winners,” said NCRF Chair Doug Friend, FAPR, RDR, CRR (Ret.). “I am heartened by the record number of student scholarship submissions this year, which speaks volumes about the impact of our Foundation’s mission. Supporting both students and seasoned professionals through scholarships and grants is at the heart of what we do. Professional growth is an ongoing process, and having access to the latest tools and resources is crucial.”

She added, “This award will help fund the many expenses I’ll encounter as I step into my career. I truly appreciate the investment NCRF has made in the future of our profession. Thank you again and again.”
