There’s still time to shine a light on the quiet heroes in our profession.
Do you know a court reporter or captioner who has given selflessly — uplifting others, supporting their community, and advancing the profession — not for recognition, but simply because it’s the right thing to do? Honor their legacy of kindness by nominating them for the Jim Bouley Family Lifetime Award for Altruism, the National Court Reporters Foundation’s highest and most heartfelt tribute.
This distinguished award recognizes a lifetime of altruism — an unwavering dedication to the well-being of others and a spirit of generosity that has touched lives both inside and outside the court reporting and captioning community. Nominees must have at least 25 years of experience and a demonstrated history of compassion, service, and self-sacrifice.
In 2024 this prestigious honor was awarded to Debbie Dibble, FAPR, RDR, CRR, CRC, a freelance court reporter and broadcast captioner from Salt Lake City, Utah, whose lifelong commitment to helping others is a testament to what this award represents.
Let’s celebrate those who give without asking, serve without seeking praise, and inspire us all with their humanity.
Nominations close May 2. Visit the Altruism Award page for full requirements and to submit your nomination. Please note: Submissions from previous years will not be considered.
