The story that went viral earlier this week about three inquisitive members of the Wisconsin University’s men’s basketball team who took their curiosity about the court reporter who was captioning their NCAA tournament game off the playing court continues to generate media coverage of the profession.
On March 23, NCRA member Lisa Carey, RPR, CRI, a court reporting instructor from Madison College, School of Business and Applied Arts, Madison, Wis., was interviewed by local media outlet Channel3000.com. During the interview, Carey demonstrated live captioning, explained how stenographers write, and shared some insight into her own career.
