On June 15, KOIN-6 News in Portland, Ore., profiled the Portland: Turn on the Captions Now! group, which is working to pass a new Portland City ordinance requiring all TVs in public places have the captioning turned on at all times. An open-captioned version of the story was posted on LNS Captioning’s Facebook wall and to date has reached more than 11,000 people, with 4,130 views, 40 likes, and 169 shares.
